Nvidia Unveils Powerful New Graphic Cards at CES 2025
Keynote Highlights Nvidia’s Latest Innovations
On Monday evening, Nvidia Corporation NVDA CEO Jensen Huang delivered a keynote speech at CES 2025 that captivated a large audience.
What Happened: The event took place at Mandalay Bay Michelob ULTRA Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, a venue that hosts 12,000 people but was expected to accommodate up to 14,000 for this occasion.
Dressed in his recognizable leather jacket, Huang playfully engaged with the crowd, remarking on his crocodile pattern jacket and encouraging the audience to “let it sink in.”
Innovations Showcased: Attendees experienced a real-time rendering demo featuring Nvidia’s RTX Blackwell GPUs, brought to life by new features like RTX Neural Materials, RTX Neural Faces, text-to-animation, and DLSS 4.
The standout moment of the keynote was the introduction of the new GeForce RTX 5000 graphics cards. The lineup includes the $1,999 RTX 5090, the $999 RTX 5080, $749 RTX 5070 Ti, and the $549 RTX 5070.
Scheduled for release on January 30, the RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 GPUs will feature a redesigned Founders Edition with double flow-through fans, a 3D vapor chamber, and GDDR7 memory. The RTX 5090 Founders Edition offers 32GB of GDDR7 memory with a remarkable memory bandwidth of 1,792GB/sec and 21,760 CUDA cores. Nvidia claims this GPU will be twice as fast as the RTX 4090 due to advancements with DLSS 4 and the new Blackwell architecture.

Huang also introduced the RTX 50-series for laptops, with a starting price of $2,899 for the RTX 5090 laptop GPU that includes 24GB of GDDR7 memory. Other models include the $2,199 RTX 5080 with 16GB of memory, the $1,599 RTX 5070 Ti with 12GB, and the $1,299 RTX 5070 featuring 8GB of GDDR7 memory. These laptop models will be available from various manufacturers beginning in March.
Additionally, Huang introduced the Grace Blackwell NVLink 72, featuring 72 Blackwell GPUs, 2,592 Grace CPU cores, and 130 trillion transistors, promising four times the performance per watt. This innovation is expected to support advanced AIs for real-time decision-making.
In a light-hearted moment at the keynote, Huang humorously attempted to channel Captain America from “Avengers: Endgame,” quipping, “I thought I was worthy.”
Stock Performance: Following the keynote, Nvidia’s stock rose by 3.43%, closing at $149.43. In after-hours trading, it further increased by 0.57%, reaching $150.28, according to Benzinga Pro.
