Nvidia Reports Record Revenue Growth for Q2
Nvidia (NASDAQ: NVDA) announced a remarkable fiscal second-quarter revenue of $96.2 billion on August 26, a 106% increase year-over-year. The company’s revenue from hyperscalers reached $48.7 billion, more than double the $24.2 billion reported the same quarter last year. Additionally, Nvidia expects revenue growth of approximately 70% in fiscal 2028, mainly constrained by supply issues.
Management projects that capital expenditures by the top five hyperscalers will nearly reach $800 billion this year, growing to $1.3 trillion by 2027. This could result in Nvidia capturing about 24% of that spending, equating to potential revenues of around $315 billion within its fiscal 2028 alone.
In terms of operational metrics, data center revenue soared by 117% to $89 billion, constituting over 92% of Nvidia’s total revenue. Despite strong demand, the company’s Chief Financial Officer Colette Kress indicated that manufacturing constraints are limiting supply, impacting Nvidia’s ability to meet the heightened demand.
