Nvidia’s new Vera CPUs are set to tap into a $200 billion addressable market, with the company projecting nearly $20 billion in revenue from these CPUs in 2023. This expected revenue aims to offset the significant decline in revenue from China, which fell from approximately $20 billion last year to about $4.5 billion this year due to semiconductor export restrictions. CEO Jensen Huang noted that Nvidia’s market share in China has plummeted to zero.

The Vera Rubin computing system, designed for advanced AI capabilities, is a critical component of this growth strategy. It features seven specialized chips intended to deliver up to 35 times higher inference throughput, with shipments anticipated to begin later this year. Analysts project Nvidia’s total revenue for the year will rise by 81% to $391 billion, translating to expected earnings of about $8.96 per share.
