During the All-In Summit earlier this month, CEO Elon Musk suggested that Tesla and SpaceX’s close collaboration may lead to future developments, fueling speculation about a possible merger. Musk’s statement pointed to an increasing interdependence between the two firms, as they work together on multiple initiatives, including a microchip foundry, artificial intelligence advancements, and battery technology integration.
Notably, Tesla’s fleet of Cybercabs has surpassed 1 million miles of unsupervised autonomous driving in Austin, Texas, and the company is also focused on the mass production of its AI-controlled humanoid robot, Optimus, which Musk claims could be available by the end of next year. Meanwhile, SpaceX is expanding its Starlink satellite network, which currently consists of more than 11,000 satellites, enhancing its service offerings.
