Reddit Boosts Advertising Strategy to Compete with Meta and Snap: Future Prospects Explored

Reddit Inc. (RDDT) achieved significant growth in the second quarter of 2026, reporting a 64% increase in advertising revenue year-over-year, totaling $762 million. The platform, which now reaches over 0.5 billion users weekly and has more than 130 million daily active users, marks its eighth consecutive quarter of over 60% revenue growth.

The launch of Reddit Max, an AI-driven ad automation and optimization tool, has led to over a 150% increase in revenues from Max campaigns and a 60% growth in advertiser usage since the first quarter of 2026. Furthermore, active advertisers surged by more than 70% in the second quarter, reflecting Reddit’s expanding advertising ecosystem.

For the third quarter of 2026, Reddit anticipates revenues between $860 million and $870 million, which would represent a year-over-year growth of 47% to 49%. Despite these gains, RDDT shares have declined 32.1% year-to-date, underperforming the broader technology sector.
