Sanofi (NASDAQ:SNY) has raised its sales target for Dupixent to €25 billion by 2030, driven by over 30% growth in the first half of 2023 and new market opportunities. Manuela Buxo, Sanofi’s Executive Vice President and head of Specialty Care, announced these plans during a Morgan Stanley fireside chat, stating the company aims to sustain its commercial momentum while preparing for Dupixent’s anticipated loss of exclusivity in the early 2030s.
Key areas of focus include immunology, rare diseases, and vaccines, with Buxo indicating that a decision on a potential fourth therapeutic area will be made in the coming months. Sanofi will evaluate mergers and acquisitions (M&A) opportunities based on scientific quality and strategic alignment, with plans to pursue both larger and smaller transactions.
As Sanofi continues to expand its pipeline, the company is concurrently evaluating the ongoing litigation with Regeneron, maintaining strong operational collaboration despite legal challenges. The company has about 60 programs in development, and Buxo emphasized a commitment to improving internal R&D output alongside external innovation.
