Tesla Reports Q1 2026 Earnings Amid Focus on Robotaxi and Humanoid Robotics
Tesla (NASDAQ: TSLA) is set to release its first-quarter 2026 earnings report on April 22, after the market closes. The company produced 408,386 vehicles and delivered 358,023 during the quarter, marking the lowest delivery figures in a year and falling short of Wall Street estimates. Investors are keen to hear from CEO Elon Musk and senior management about the company’s future initiatives, particularly regarding its robotaxi fleet and humanoid robots.
The robotaxi fleet is currently operational in Austin, Texas, and San Francisco, with expectations of expanding into seven new cities. Analyst Joseph Spak projects that Tesla may only produce 5,000 Optimus robots by 2027. Additionally, the difference between production and deliveries has raised concerns about inventory levels impacting cash flow, especially as Tesla has warned of significant capital expenditures this year.
