Today, notable options trading activity was observed in three major companies within the S&P 500 index. Goldman Sachs Group Inc (GS) reported a trading volume of 38,837 contracts, equating to approximately 3.9 million underlying shares, or 226.9% of its average daily trading volume of 1.7 million shares. The $520 strike call option expiring on September 19, 2025, led this activity with 6,480 contracts traded.

Datadog Inc (DDOG) saw 67,318 contracts traded, representing around 6.7 million underlying shares, or 109% of its monthly average of 6.2 million shares. The $145 strike call option expiring on August 29, 2025, stood out with 18,808 contracts traded. Additionally, RTX Corp (RTX) had a volume of 32,221 contracts, translating to 3.2 million underlying shares, or 82.2% of its average daily volume of 3.9 million shares, with the $162.50 strike call option leading with 25,867 contracts traded.
