SoundHound AI, Inc. reported an 88% year-over-year increase in revenues from its automotive and IoT business in Q1 2026, contributing to an overall revenue rise of 52% to $44.2 million. This growth indicates strong organic momentum, as it occurred despite the inclusion of acquisitions. Notable wins included a seven-figure agreement with a major Japanese automaker and an expansion into Latin America.

The company is also advancing its market position with the launch of its Orchestrated Agent System, OASYS, allowing automakers to implement AI solutions across various platforms, enhancing in-car transactions like food orders and reservations. Despite facing tough competition from Microsoft and C3.ai, SoundHound’s focus on automotive voice AI and voice commerce sets it apart in the evolving AI landscape.

However, SoundHound’s shares have declined by 18.4% year-to-date, with a forward price-to-sales multiple of 14.1, higher than the industry average of 12.15. Recent estimates have increased the expected loss per share for 2026 to 18 cents, reflecting a projected decline of 38.5% year-over-year.
