**Soybean Prices Decline Amid Planting Progress**
On April 26, soybeans saw a downturn, with contracts falling by 2 to 6.5 cents. The cmdtyView national average cash bean price dropped 5.75 cents to $11.10. Additionally, soymeal futures decreased by $2 to $2.50, while soy oil futures rose by 55 to 65 points in the front months.
The latest weekly Crop Progress report from NASS indicated that 23% of the U.S. soybean crop was planted, significantly surpassing the 12% average for this time of year. Notable planting progress was reported in Illinois (+18%), Indiana (+27%), Minnesota (+9%), Nebraska (+11%), and Ohio (+12%), whereas Iowa, Michigan, and Wisconsin lagged slightly with decreases of up to 2%. National emergence of soybeans was at 8%, compared to the average of 1%.
