Soybeans are trading 8 to 10 cents higher on Monday, with the cmdtyView national average cash bean price increasing by 8.5 cents to $12.46. Soymeal futures range from $3.50 to $3.80, while soy oil is down 45 to 55 points. The USDA reported soybean export shipments at 672,750 MT (24.72 million bushels) for the week ending September 10, showing a 44.8% increase from the previous week but a 18.2% decrease from the same week last year. China was the largest destination at 328,245 MT.
On the trading front, managed money spec funds increased their net long position in soybean futures and options by 24,848 contracts, resulting in a record total of 266,031 contracts. A NOPA report due on Tuesday is expected to show 211.55 million bushels of soybeans crushed by members during the month, with soybean oil stocks estimated at 1.257 billion lbs.
Additionally, CHS announced plans for a new 80 million bushel per year crush facility in Evansville, WI, expected to be completed by fall 2028. AgRural reports that Brazil’s 2026/27 soybean crop is currently 0.4% planted.
