Soybean prices increased by 7 to 8 cents on Wednesday following the USDA’s Crop Production data release, with the national average cash bean price rising to $11.34 1/2 per bushel. The report estimated the soybean yield for 2026 at 52.7 bushels per acre and increased planted acreage to 86.8 million acres, leading to a total production forecast of 4.519 billion bushels, 44 million bushels higher than July’s WASDE projection.

Monthly WASDE data indicated old crop ending stocks at 325 million bushels, a decrease of 5 million from last month. For 2026/27, projected ending stocks are estimated at 320 million bushels, an increase of 10 million bushels due to the higher production. Global ending stocks are anticipated at 124.21 million metric tons, slightly up from previous estimates. Additionally, USDA reported a private export sale of 224,000 metric tons of soybeans to China for the 2026/27 shipment.

In related market movements, the Sep 26 soybean contract is priced at $11.59, while Nov 26 is at $11.76 3/4. Nearby cash soybeans are up 7 1/4 cents to $11.34 1/2.
