Soybeans Rally After Initial Wednesday Decline

Soybean contracts are trading steady to slightly lower, with the cmdtyView national average cash bean price down 1.75 cents at $12.60¾. Soymeal futures decreased by $1.30 to $2.00, while soy oil fell by 92 to 103 points. There were 256 delivery notices for September bean oil, but none for September beans or meal.

On September 26, USDA reported a private export sale of 202,000 metric tons of soybeans to China for the 2026/27 shipping year. July soybean crush figures indicate 221.9 million bushels used, exceeding market expectations and showing an increase of 1.89% from June and 8.16% year-over-year. Additionally, soybean oil stocks are at 1.963 billion pounds, down 6.4% from June but 4.73% above last year.

StoneX has revised the Brazilian soybean crop estimate to 183.5 million metric tons, up by 0.4 million metric tons from prior estimates. On the closing day, September soybeans settled at $12.95½, a decrease of 11.25 cents, while November soybeans closed at $13.17½, down 0.25 cents, and January soybeans remained unchanged at $13.32¾.
