EnerSys (ENS) reported strong demand for energy solutions, particularly due to data center needs, with earnings for Q1 of fiscal 2027 reaching $3.66 per share, surpassing the Zacks Consensus estimate of $2.82 by $0.84. The company’s net sales were $936 million, marking a 5% increase, while gross margin improved to 33.5%, up 510 basis points year-over-year.

The company anticipates continued growth, projecting fiscal Q2 2027 earnings between $3.15 and $3.25, higher than the consensus estimate of $3.01. Analysts have also raised full-year earnings estimates to $13.41 from $12.37, reflecting a 27% increase from the prior fiscal year’s earnings of $10.56.

EnerSys shares increased 93% over the past year but have recently declined 18.9% in the last three months. The company also announced a 10% quarterly dividend increase to $0.2875 per share, scheduled for payment on October 2, 2026.
