Tesla’s Q2 2026 Sales Data

Tesla (NASDAQ: TSLA) reported a 25% year-over-year increase in electric vehicle sales for the second quarter of 2026, selling approximately 480,000 EVs compared to 384,000 in the same quarter of 2025. This increase comes despite a challenging sales environment influenced by political backlash and fluctuating government incentives in the preceding year.

Despite the year’s challenges, Tesla’s Model Y and Model 3 remain the best-selling electric vehicles in the U.S., significantly outpacing competitors. However, while Tesla has regained some sales momentum, it faces competition from BYD, which is currently the largest global EV manufacturer, as Tesla shifts focus towards humanoid robots.
