Tesla Reports Record Deliveries in Q2 2023
Tesla (NASDAQ: TSLA) achieved a record second quarter with 480,126 vehicle deliveries, marking a 25% increase year-over-year and a 34% jump from Q1 2023. This surge significantly surpassed Tesla’s own forecast of approximately 406,000 deliveries, driven primarily by the Model 3 and Model Y, which comprised over 467,000 deliveries.
This marks Tesla’s first year-over-year delivery growth since peaking in 2023. Additionally, the company deployed 13.5 gigawatt-hours (GWh) of energy storage products, an increase from 9.6 GWh in the same period last year. Tesla is focusing on diversifying its offerings, aiming to enhance its energy storage sector and Supercharger network, as competition grows in the electric vehicle market.
