LPL Financial Holdings Inc. (LPLA) reported a significant increase in client assets for August 2026, reaching a total of $2.6 trillion, representing a 15% year-over-year growth. Advisory assets were the main contributor, totaling $1.58 trillion—up 21% from the previous year—and comprising 60.8% of total client assets.
Organic net new assets (NNAs) for August stood at $13.5 billion, a decrease from $17.8 billion a year ago, while advisory NNAs rose to $12.5 billion from $11.8 billion. Client cash balances also increased by 3.2% year over year to $54.4 billion, indicating ongoing client engagement and investment activity.
LPL Financial’s strategic moves, including the acquisition of Mariner Advisor Network which added 367 advisors and approximately $31 billion in client assets, are expected to further support its growth trajectory.
