Surge in Trading Volume for iShares ESG Aware MSCI EAFE ETF

Afternoon trading brings 3.3 million shares exchanged, far exceeding the average volume.

The iShares ESG Aware MSCI EAFE ETF, known as ESGD, experienced an impressive spike in trading activity on Thursday, with over 3.3 million shares exchanged. In comparison, the three-month average volume stands at only about 413,000 shares. On the day, ESGD shares rose roughly 0.7%.

Notably, among the ETF’s components, Grab Holdings experienced substantial interest, trading up about 0.7% with more than 12.2 million shares changing hands during this session. Sea also saw a positive uptick of around 2.1%, with over 2.1 million shares traded. In contrast, AerCap Holdings lagged behind, falling approximately 0.9%.
