Tuesday Highlights: Significant Options Activity in BOC, TMDX, and MPC

Among the components of the Russell 3000 index, notable options trading volume was recorded on October 11, 2023. Boston Omaha Corp (BOC) saw 1,872 contracts traded, amounting to approximately 187,200 underlying shares, which is 180.8% of its average daily volume of 103,550 shares. Particularly high activity was noted for the $15 strike call option expiring on September 18, 2026, with 1,848 contracts traded.

TransMedics Group Inc (TMDX) experienced a trading volume of 16,877 contracts, equivalent to about 1.7 million underlying shares, representing 169% of its monthly average of 998,600 shares. The $80 strike put option expiring on September 18, 2026, saw 5,007 contracts traded, reflecting approximately 500,700 underlying shares.

Marathon Petroleum Corp (MPC) recorded 33,003 contracts traded, representing around 3.3 million underlying shares, or 138% of its average daily volume of 2.4 million shares. Significant volume was observed for the $290 strike call option expiring on August 21, 2026, with 4,560 contracts traded, equating to roughly 456,000 underlying shares.
