The ProShares Russell 2000 Dividend Growers ETF (SMDV) experienced an unusually high trading volume on Monday, with over 408,000 shares exchanged compared to its three-month average of 49,000. As of midday, SMDV shares were down approximately 1.2%.
Key components driving the volume included Perrigo, which fell about 2.9% with over 593,000 shares traded, and Caretrust Reit, declining 1.8% on more than 546,000 shares. Conversely, Shoe Station Group saw a gain of about 2.5%, while Universal traded down by approximately 7.4%.
