Afternoon Trading Sees Over 3.9 Million Shares Change Hands

The SPDR S&P 600 Small Cap Value ETF (SLYV) is experiencing an unexpected surge in trading today, with over 3.9 million shares traded. This figure significantly outpaces the average daily volume of approximately 207,000 shares over the past three months. Currently, SLYV shares are up 0.2%.

The companies within the ETF are also seeing notable trading activity. Newell Brands has been a standout, rising by approximately 0.4% with over 10.2 million shares changing hands. In contrast, JetBlue Airways is facing a decline of about 3.1%, with more than 9.3 million shares traded.

Nabors Industries leads the group with a strong performance, showing an increase of about 7%. Meanwhile, The Hain Celestial Group is underperforming relative to its peers, down around 13.8% for the day.
