Warner Bros. Discovery WBD has joined forces with Snapchat SNAP to stir up interest ahead of the release of Dune: Part Two. This collaboration aims to harness Snapchat’s popularity, especially among younger audiences, to create anticipation for the movie premiere on Mar 1.
The campaign showcases diverse interactive elements, including an augmented reality (AR) lens and custom cameo stickers, intended to enhance the promotional video ads for the film.
At the heart of the campaign lies the AR lens, allowing users to metamorphose into Fremen characters and traverse the Dune universe by riding sandworms. This experiential journey is designed to enthrall Snapchat users and deepen their immersion in the movie’s world.
The partnership between Warner Bros. Discovery and Snapchat builds upon their past successful collaborations, such as the global campaign for Barbie. By tapping into Snapchat’s vast user base, which boasts 414 million daily active users, WBD aims to amplify exposure for Dune: Part Two among a crucial demographic.
