The wheat market is experiencing mixed trading as the July 4th Independence Day holiday approaches. Chicago SRW contracts are down by up to 2 cents, while KC HRW futures noted gains of 1 to 2 cents. Additionally, 38 deliveries were reported against July KC wheat, with 6 against July CBT wheat. MPLS spring wheat prices fell by 1 to 5.5 cents on Thursday.
The USDA’s weekly Export Sales report revealed that 300,060 MT of wheat were sold during the week ending June 25, marking a decrease of 48.79% from the same week last year and the lowest total for the current marketing year. In related news, Saudi Arabia has issued a tender for 655,000 MT of wheat for fall delivery.
Current prices include: Jul 26 CBOT Wheat at $5.91 1/2 (down 0.5 cents), Sep 26 CBOT Wheat at $5.98 3/4 (down 1.25 cents), Jul 26 KCBT Wheat at $6.24 1/2 (up 1.25 cents), and Jul 26 MIAX Wheat at $5.89 (down 1 cent).
