**Alphabet’s Gemini User Growth and Delayed AI Release**
Alphabet’s report of delayed release for the Gemini 3.5 Pro model has raised concerns among investors, resulting in a recent sell-off of the company’s stock. Despite the setback, Gemini’s user base has expanded significantly, doubling in the past year to reach 900 million monthly users as of May. This growth has been driven by the integration of Gemini across Alphabet’s various platforms, including Search, YouTube, and Google Workspace.
In financial terms, Alphabet generated $1.2 billion in sales from Gemini last year, and Apple is set to pay Alphabet $1 billion annually for the use of Gemini in its Siri AI. Moving forward, Alphabet is also developing a new AI processor, Frozen v2, expected to enhance efficiency by six to ten times compared to current models, with a potential launch slated for 2028.
