Intel Corporation is collaborating with Arizona State University (ASU) to implement an on-device artificial intelligence (AI) application aimed at streamlining game preparation for its football program. The initiative, announced recently, involves a custom AI agent designed to automate the creation of football practice play cards, potentially reducing preparation time by 15% to 20%.
The AI tool operates on Lenovo ThinkPad X9 Aura Edition PCs powered by Intel vPro, allowing coaching staff to upload opponent game footage. The AI agent processes this footage to identify player positions and movements, automatically generating digital whiteboard diagrams that assist coaches in game planning.
Intel’s advancements reflect a strategic push to enhance its AI PC capabilities across various industries. This innovation reduces dependence on cloud infrastructure while improving device management and security—key features enabled by Intel vPro technology.
