Robinhood Markets (HOOD) has initiated a partnership with Crypto.com and OG.com to enhance its prediction markets, starting September 8, 2026. Robinhood will begin routing specific football event contracts to the CFTC-regulated exchange of OG.com, while also acquiring minority equity stakes in both Crypto.com and OG.com, aligned with Citadel Securities’ recent valuation of Crypto.com at $20 billion.
The prediction markets sector has become a significant revenue generator for Robinhood, with customers trading 13.6 billion event contracts in Q2 2026 alone, including over 5 billion contracts related to World Cup activities. Overall, more than 30 billion contracts were exchanged in the first eight months of 2026, contributing to event contract revenues of $156 million in Q2, which marked a tenfold increase from the previous year and exceeded Robinhood’s equities and crypto revenues for the quarter.
This collaboration aims to improve liquidity and pricing in prediction markets alongside existing venues such as Kalshi and ForecastEx, coinciding with the start of the football season and the upcoming 2026 U.S. midterm elections that are anticipated to boost trading volume further.
