Ouster has announced that its OUST Rev8 digital lidar sensors have achieved compliance with the Build America, Buy America (BABA) Act, making them eligible for use in federally funded U.S. infrastructure projects. This milestone enhances opportunities for Ouster within intelligent transportation systems, smart cities, and transit networks that require domestic sourcing, potentially expanding its addressable market significantly.

The Rev8 sensors began shipping in May 2026 and have already secured customers across various industries, including Gecko Robotics and ARGUS Interception, indicating promising commercial momentum. Ouster aims to produce over 100,000 Rev8 sensors annually under a 10-year agreement with Benchmark Electronics and has also signed a supply agreement with AIM Intelligent Machines, reflecting strong demand for its digital lidar technology. As a result, shares of Ouster have surged nearly 177% year-to-date, positioning the company with a forward price-to-sales ratio above 14x and projecting year-over-year sales growth of 32% in 2026 and 40% in 2027.
