Soybean Prices Recede After Recent Rally on Thursday

Soybean futures experienced declines on Thursday, with contracts dropping 6 to 7 ¼ cents. The cmdtyView national average cash bean price fell by 1 cent to $11.55. Soymeal futures increased by $2.00 to $4.00, while soy oil futures decreased by 29 to 49 points.

Export sales data revealed 188,274 metric tons (MT) of old crop soybean sales for the week ending July 9, aligning with analyst estimates of 100,000-500,000 MT but down 30.74% from the same week in 2025. Notably, new crop sales reached 1.77 million MT, surpassing estimates of 0.9-1.7 million MT, marking a marketing year high and bringing total new crop sales to 4.598 million MT. Soybean meal export sales were reported at 228,235 MT, while bean oil bookings showed a net negative 122 MT.

Closing prices for soybeans on August 26 included $11.95 (down 7 ¼ cents), $11.85 ¼ for September 26 (down 7 cents), and $11.95 for November 26 (down 6 ¾ cents). New crop cash prices were reported at $11.34, down 3 cents.
