International Business Machines Corporation (IBM) has launched three new products for its Power platform: IBM Power Autonomous Operations, IBM Bob Premium Package for i, and the IBM Power S1112 server. The announcements were made in October 2023 and aim to enhance IT operations, modernize application development, and more effectively support artificial intelligence (AI) workloads.
IBM Power Autonomous Operations is an AI management solution that continuously monitors Power environments to resolve capacity constraints automatically, while the Bob Premium Package for i is designed to help developers modernize IBM i applications. Additionally, the IBM Power S1112 server targets on-premises AI inference workloads, offering improved performance and energy efficiency.
In terms of financial performance, IBM shares have decreased by 25.1% in the past year, contrasting with an industry growth of 194.9%. As of now, IBM trades at a forward price-to-sales ratio of 2.71, significantly lower than the industry average of 5.71. Earnings estimates for 2026 have dropped by 0.6% to $12.33, while estimates for 2027 have risen by 0.1% to $13.37.
