Vertiv Holdings Reports Significant Growth in Liquid Cooling Market

Vertiv Holdings (NYSE: VRT) has solidified its position in the global liquid cooling market as demand surges due to the rapid expansion of AI data centers. The company reported a backlog exceeding $15 billion, more than double from previous levels, driven by a 252% year-over-year increase in fourth-quarter organic orders. In the first half of 2026, Vertiv’s stock soared 106.7%, reaching a 52-week high of $379.93 in mid-May.

As hyperscalers committed over $650 billion to build AI data infrastructures, Vertiv adapted its technology to cater to these needs, including a partnership with Nvidia to enhance cooling capabilities. Q1 results showed net sales grew by 30% and operating profit increased by 51%. Analysts are optimistic about future growth, with Loop Capital setting a price target of $500 per share.

In response to increasing demand, Vertiv has expanded its footprint with new manufacturing facilities in South Carolina and Malaysia, aiming to boost production capacity. Recent projections indicate that the global data center liquid cooling market could grow at an annualized rate of 20% from 2026 to 2033, with Asia-Pacific identified as the fastest-growing region.
