Salesforce, Inc. (CRM) reported a significant growth driver from its acquisition of Slack, highlighting a more than 150% sequential increase in Slackbot users during the second quarter of fiscal 2027. This growth contributed to Slack achieving its highest quarterly net new annual order value (NNAOV) growth since Salesforce’s acquisition, aligning with the company’s strategy to incorporate artificial intelligence (AI) into its platforms.
Salesforce’s overall revenues for the second quarter rose 11% year-over-year to $11.35 billion, with subscription and support revenues increasing 12% to $10.82 billion. The company noted that demand for its premium Slack offerings tripled following the launch of Slackbot. The Zacks Consensus Estimate projects a revenue growth of 11.3% for fiscal 2027 and 9.6% for fiscal 2028.
In comparison, Salesforce faces competition from Microsoft and Zoom, which are also integrating AI features into their platforms. Microsoft reported $90 billion in revenue for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2026, while Zoom’s enterprise revenues for Q2 fiscal 2027 increased 7.8% year-over-year to approximately $787.5 million.
