Analyzing Amtech Systems Stock Post-Q3 Earnings: Buy, Hold, or Sell?

Amtech Systems, Inc. (ASYS) reported fiscal Q3 2026 results on August 5, revealing a revenue increase of 14.5% year-over-year to $22.4 million, surpassing the Zacks Consensus Estimate by 4.11%. Earnings stood at 14 cents per share, beating the estimate of 10 cents.

Driving this growth was a 24.9% increase in revenues from the Thermal Processing Solutions segment, totaling approximately $17.7 million, fueled by demand for AI-related equipment. Customer orders also rose to $28.8 million from $21.1 million in the previous quarter, while backlog grew to $28.7 million.

Despite strong growth, Amtech’s Semiconductor Fabrication Solutions (SFS) business experienced a decline of 13.3% year-over-year, totaling $4.6 million. Management forecasted Q4 revenues between $22.5 million and $24 million, indicating continued strength in AI demand but also raised concerns about SFS performance.
