Equinix, Inc. (EQIX) announced an expansion of its collaboration with NVIDIA and a new partnership with Together AI to launch the Equinix Inference Exchange, a global AI inference program. This initiative aims to enhance the deployment speed, flexibility, and cost efficiency of AI workloads for enterprises, leveraging NVIDIA’s Enterprise Reference Architectures and Together AI’s inference platform. The service is expected to be available in the first quarter of 2027.

Equinix’s infrastructure includes over 280 data centers across 77 metro areas, with 230 cloud on-ramps and more than 10,500 businesses interconnected. This global footprint positions the company as a pivotal player in the AI ecosystem, with eight of the top ten AI model providers already operating through its facilities.

The Equinix Inference Exchange will focus on securing low-latency connectivity and supporting a three-layer model for operational efficiency. It is particularly designed for industries requiring AI workloads to adhere to data residency and sovereignty regulations, thus allowing enterprises to maintain control over data processing.
