Archer Aviation Inc. (ACHR) is expanding its flight activity as it prepares for air taxi operations. The company launched its No Roads flight tour on September 3, 2026, starting in Northern California and aiming to extend to cities including Los Angeles, Texas, and Florida. This initiative follows over 70 test flights conducted in August, including a piloted round trip from Salinas to Monterey, California.

The tour aims to utilize the Midnight aircraft across multiple locations such as Hollister, Monterey, San Jose, and San Francisco, with coordination from the Federal Aviation Administration. This increased flight tempo is intended to assess aircraft performance and gather safety data crucial for certification, advancing Archer’s transition from development to operational execution.

Competitors in the electric air mobility sector, like Joby Aviation, Inc. (JOBY) and Eve Holding, Inc. (EVEX), are also ramping up their flight-test activities, with Joby completing FAA-conforming flights in the San Francisco Bay Area and Eve advancing its prototype into flight testing.
