AMD First Quarter 2026 Highlights
Advanced Micro Devices (NASDAQ: AMD) reported a 38% increase in sales for Q1 2026, totaling $10.3 billion, with non-GAAP earnings rising 43% to $1.37 per share. The data center segment emerged as the company’s main revenue driver, achieving a 57% growth to $5.8 billion and representing over 56% of total revenue.
AMD has doubled its total addressable market estimate for server CPUs to over $120 billion by 2030, indicating a significant growth potential as CPU roles in AI applications expand. The company anticipates AI partnerships with Meta Platforms and OpenAI could contribute “tens of billions of dollars” to data center revenues by 2027.
Operating expenses surged by 42% to $3.1 billion in Q1, mainly due to heavy investments in AI. This trend is expected to continue with projected expenses of $3.2 billion in the following quarter, aimed at bolstering AMD’s position in the competitive AI hardware market.
