Motorola Solutions (NYSE: MSI) reported record second-quarter sales for 2026, with revenue rising 13% year-over-year to approximately $3.1 billion. The increase was driven by robust demand in its Products and Systems Integration and Software and Services segments, as the company raised its full-year revenue guidance to $12.975 billion from a previous forecast of $12.8 billion.
Key financial metrics include GAAP operating earnings of $809 million, reflecting 25.8% of sales, and a 26% increase in non-GAAP operating earnings to over $1 billion. Earnings per share (EPS) rose to $3.33 for GAAP and $4.41 for non-GAAP, the latter up 24% from the previous year. The company’s ending backlog reached a record $15.6 billion, an increase of 11% or $1.5 billion from the previous year.
Significant contracts include a $36 million order from a U.S. federal customer and a $20 million order from Atlanta. The company anticipates third-quarter sales growth of about 8% and expects its mission-critical networks revenue to grow between 10% and 11% for the year.
