Taiwan Semiconductor’s AI Investment Surge
Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) is significantly benefiting from the growing demand for artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, providing chips for industry leaders like Nvidia, Broadcom, and Advanced Micro Devices. TSMC announced a substantial investment of $100 billion to expand its facilities in Arizona, indicating confidence in sustained demand for AI-related chips through at least 2029-2030, according to CEO C.C. Wei.
Wall Street analysts project a 42% revenue growth for TSMC in 2026, followed by 32% in 2027, potentially generating NT$9.32 trillion (approximately $291 billion) by 2028. TSMC currently maintains a profit margin of 50%, which could lead to estimated profits of $146 billion. The company is currently valued at $2.1 trillion, with forecasts suggesting that it could double its value, turning an investment of $10,000 into $20,000 by 2028.
