MSC Income Fund (NYSE:MSIF) reported a second-quarter 2026 annualized return on equity of 15.9%, with a 4% increase in net asset value per share, reaching $16.51. The fund achieved $19 million in net fair value appreciation within its investment portfolio, navigating a net asset increase of $29.3 million during the quarter, according to Chief Financial Officer Cory Gilbert.
Total investment income stood at $35.7 million, unchanged year-over-year and up 4.7% from the prior quarter. The board declared regular monthly dividends of $0.11 per share for October, November, and December, along with a supplemental dividend of $0.03 per share for December. These dividends reflect a current yield of over 12% based on the fund’s stock price.
The fund continues to focus on private loans, investing $62 million during the quarter, resulting in a net increase of $10 million in private-loan investments. The portfolio now holds investments in 81 private-loan companies valued at $848 million, with 93% consisting of secured debt investments. The company also authorized a new share repurchase plan, allowing the repurchase of up to $20 million of shares through February 2027.
