Invesco S&P 500 Equal Weight Utilities ETF Sees Surge in Trading Volume
Afternoon Activity Highlights Significant Changes Among Key Utility Stocks
The Invesco S&P 500 Equal Weight Utilities ETF experienced unusually high trading volume on Thursday afternoon, with over 170,000 shares changing hands. This compares to its three-month average of about 31,000 shares. On the day, shares of RSPU decreased by approximately 0.4%.
Notably, the ETF’s components showed varied performance, with Nextera Energy leading in volume. It traded lower by about 1.5%, with more than 2.9 million shares exchanged. In contrast, Pacific Gas & Electric managed a slight gain of 0.5% on over 1.9 million shares. Meanwhile, Xcel Energy performed the best among the group, rising around 0.8% for the day, while Vistra struggled, trading down approximately 1.7%.
