Cardinal Health (CAH) reported strong fiscal fourth-quarter results, with adjusted earnings per share (EPS) of $2.91, a 40% increase from the previous year, surpassing expectations of $2.42 by 20%. The quarterly revenue reached $63.67 billion, up 6% year-over-year, although it fell short of the consensus estimate of $65.61 billion. For FY26, the company generated $254.25 billion in revenue, representing a 14% increase, while adjusted EPS rose over 36% to $11.26.
Looking ahead, Cardinal Health projected FY27 adjusted EPS between $12.40 and $12.60, indicating a growth rate of approximately 10-12%. This forecast exceeds Wall Street’s consensus estimate of $12.18. Additionally, the company announced a $5 billion increase in share repurchase authorization, bringing the total to about $6.4 billion, with plans for at least $1 billion in buybacks during FY27.
