Soybean Prices Decline as Thursday Trading Concludes

Soybean trade showed mixed results on Thursday, with prices ranging from an increase of 3.5 cents to a decrease of 2.75 cents. The cmdtyView national average cash bean price rose by 4.5 cents to $11.45 1/4. Soymeal futures fell by 90 cents to $2.40, while soy oil decreased by 4 to 37 points.

The USDA announced a private export sale of 125,000 metric tons of soybeans to China for 2026/27 shipment. Additionally, weekly export sales data revealed 75,119 metric tons in old crop sales and 1.76 million metric tons in new crop sales, the latter being the second largest for the marketing year. Notably, China was the primary buyer, purchasing 1.446 million metric tons.

Meanwhile, CONAB revised Brazil’s soybean production estimate down by 0.11 million metric tons to 180.46 million metric tons.
