According to PwC, cumulative AI infrastructure spending could reach $31.6 trillion by 2050, with annual data center spending expected to jump from $800 billion in 2026 to $1.8 trillion by 2050. Nvidia, a leader in the AI chip market, anticipates that spending by U.S. hyperscalers alone will hit $800 billion in capital expenditures this year, potentially rising to $1.3 trillion by 2027.

Currently, 70% of AI infrastructure expenditures go toward ICT equipment, including chips, a proportion projected to increase to 93% by 2050. Nvidia holds approximately 80% of the AI accelerator market and generated $164 billion in revenue from its data center segment in the first half of fiscal 2027, suggesting significant growth potential in the coming years.
